Welcome to my virtual home

I am Ashif Ubaidulla, I am from Kodungallur, which is in the central portion of the beautiful South Indian state of Kerala, and historic town. In my free time, I listen to music; see movies, read books and roaming with my camera. I am interested in almost everything in this universe. I am a volunteer for the Greenpeace environmental society and Human Right Watch and Co-founder of Pratheeksha Society.

Some of the people I respect and adore in my life are Prophet Mohammed saw., Richard Stallman, Alexander Pushkin, Dasthayevski, Marx, Pablo Neruda, etc.

I am also a news junkie and newspaper, without which, it's difficult for me to start the day.

I have a lot of friends and I like spending time with them. I have travelled much in all over India. The only country I have visited outside India is the UAE, where I used to live in Dubai for about 7 months.

I lived in Bangalore, India, Bangalore is often wrongly termed as Silicon Valley of India. Unlike the real silicon valley, there is neither silicon nor valley there in Bangalore, only dust is available here in abundance.

I live in my home town kodungallur. I am running my family business. Also I own a web hosting company - OpenCrest Solutions, now I am setting up a new IT company, that focus on providing professional security support for Unix, GNU/Linux servers and networks, in Cochin with my friends

I am great fan of Free Software Foundation. If you use Free Software (in the form of GNU/Linux Operating System or otherwise), please consider becoming a card carrying associate member of FSF. Your dues helps FSF carry out the important task of defending the freedom of computer users.

I am also a fan of the idea of building WebPages based on collective wisdom.
